BJP holds review meeting for Sthapana, Samrasta Diwas

JAMMU, Apr 5: BJP held a review meeting for conduct of mass programmes on its “Sthapana Diwas (Foundation Day)” and “Samrasta Diwas (birthday of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar) on every booth in the region.
The meeting was chaired by BJP State general secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul along with State general secretary & incharge Jammu region, Harinder Gupta.
Ashok Kaul threw light on the detailed vision of the programmes regarding Sthapana Diwas and Smrasta Diwas to be held at various booths across the region. He elaborated the basics behind holding up of these programmes and stressed on the need to celebrate them among the masses.
He said that when common masses are involved in these celebrations and they inch closer to the ideology and principles put forth by the party.
He said that on  April 6, 1980, the party was founded on the principles of integral humanism, Antodaya working on the lines of “nation first”. He asserted that every party volunteer has to ensure the celebration of party’s Foundation Day at every single booth for the propogation of party’s values.
Kaul further said that as the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, in his entire life, kept on working for the welfare of weaker sections, his birthday on April 14 is being celebrated as “Rashtriya Samrasta Diwas”. He said that the party has decided to celebrate his birthday at booth level to spread the message of Samrasta.
Harinder Gupta discussed threadbare all the preparations to make the celebrations of both these programmes successful. He informed that the party flag will be hoisted in the BJP Headquarter at 10:30 a.m. on  April 6.
Gupta also informed that BJP veterans will also be felicitated on this occasion to mark their contributions.
Gupta further said that party will celebrate “Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan” from April 14 to May 5, which will involve the holding of the events like Ambedkar Jayanti, Swacch Bharat Parv, Ujjawal Panchayat, Panchayati Raj Diwas, Gram Shakti Abhiyaan, Aayushmaan Bharat Abhiyaan, Kissan Kalyan Karyashala and Aajivika evum Kaushal Vikas Mela.
BJP State secretary, Sanjay Baru, district president Jammu Baldev Singh Billawaria, district president Jammu West Ayodhya Gupta, Vinay Gupta, Prem Gupta, Jeet Angral, Ankush Gupta, Harbans Choudhary, Vijay Sharma, Rekha Mahajan, Jatin Sethi and others were among the prominent persons who attended the meeting.
