JKBHEA projects demands

JAMMU, Apr 9: Jammu Kashmir Basic Health Employees’ Association (JKBHEA), Jammu province today projected burning demands of the basic health employees in a press conference held here at Press Club.
Addressing the press conference, Pawan Singh Jamwal, president, JKBHEA, raised various issues pertaining to the cadre. He demanded immediate issuance of DPC orders of all the categories, enhancement in fixed travelling allowance from Rs 45 to Rs 2000 per month and amendment of SRO 20, which he said, is pending for last 24 years in Administrative Department.
He further stressed for filling up of vacant posts of BHWs, JHIs, Health Educators and DMOs with relaxation of promotion period up to three years and creation of posts of District Malaria Officer in newly created districts. He appealed the Government and higher authorities to redress their demands at the earliest.
The JKBHEA president also extended his full support to JKMEF’s protest dharna, which is scheduled to be held at DHS complex on April 12.
Also present in the press conference were Vinod Kumar Sharma, Uttam Lal Sharma, Bansi Lal, Rakesh Hangloo, Janak Raj and Krishan Dutt.
