REASI, Apr 11: Two temporary employees of PDD were seriously injured when they received severe electric shock while repairing 11 KV line at Camel Danga area in Reasi, this afternoon.
The duo was identified as Vakil Singh (25) son of Munshi Ram of Sarhi in Reasi and Ajay (26), son of Shallu Ram of Kundra, who are engaged as need based workers in the Power Development Depart-ment.
They were repairing 11 KV line at Camel Danga, which had developed some technical snag following winds in the area last night. When the duo was on job, power supply in the line was accidentally restored and this caused severe electric shock to both the workers, who sustained grievous injuries.
Both the injured were rushed to District Hospital, Reasi from where they were shifted to GMC Jammu for treatment. In view of critical condition of Vakil Singh, he was referred to Ludhiana in the evening.
