”Thousands of men and women stood up to be counted in the battle for justice and to protest the rising acts of violence against girls and women.
I thank each and every one of you for your support. It shall not be in vain,” Mr Gandhi said in a tweet.
Mr Gandhi, along with former Congress president Sonia Gandhi and sister Priyanka Gandhi, had taken to the streets on Thursday night, leading a candlelight march to protect the Kathua and Unnao rapes and rising incidents of violence against women.
