JAMMU, Apr 13: Governor N. N. Vohra has paid tributes to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar on his birth anniversary, which is being celebrated today.
In a message, the Governor recalled that Dr. Ambedkar, an erudite scholar and outstanding legal luminary, had made invaluable contribution to the framing of the Indian Constitution. He also recalled Dr. Ambedkar’s commitment towards nation building, particularly in regard to the upliftment of the weaker sections of society.
Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has also paid rich tributes to Dr. B R Ambedkar.
In her message, the Chief Minister said Dr. Ambedkar was a great legal luminary and social reformer who would always be remembered for his contribution in framing the country’s constitution.
Mehbooba Mufti also recalled the contribution of Dr. Ambedkar in the upliftment and development of weaker and down trodden sections of the society in the country.
