ReT Teachers Forum chalks out strategy for Dec 26 protest

JAMMU, Dec 9: All J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum today held series of meetings at all zonal headquarters of the district to chalk out the strategy for the protest demonstration to be held at Jammu on December 26.
The meetings at Zone Udhampur, Jib and Tikri were held under the chairmanship of zonal presidents Vipin Sharma , Pritam Goswami and Subash Singh respectively.
At Chenani Sujit Singh, zone president chaired the meeting while the meeting at Ramnagar and Kulwanta were held under the chairmanship of Man Chand and Sham Singh.
At Ghordi Satpal Sharma chaired the meeting while Kewal Singh, Darubh Singh, Amit Gupta and Kuldeep Katoch held meetings at Dudu, Majalta, Babey and Panchari respectively.
During these meetings the members decided to extend full support to the protest call of the state body and resolved to take active part in protest at Jammu on December 26 and resort to hunger strike from December 27.
The Fourm members also held a protest at Udhampur in support of their demands.
Meanwhile, a meeting of ReT Teachers Forum was held at Krishan Chander Park Poonch under the chairmanship of Najmal Jafri, State general secretary of the Forum. All the zonal presidents and a large number of ReT teachers attended the meeting.
The meeting decided to make the agitational programme of December 26 a total success.  Najmal Jafri expressed anguish over the non serious and biased attitude of the State Government towards the ReT teachers who are working without salary for over last five months.
Mr Jafri also appealed all the ReTs to maintain unity in their rank and file.
