SRINAGAR, Apr 15: Continuing with its efforts of reaching out to the Awaam, Army provided a wheelchair to a physically challenged boy at Kapran today.
An Army spokesman said that one Abdul Salam Bhat, a daily wage labour, approached the Army with a grievance of his differently abled son, Johan Mohd Bhat, aged 16 years and sought assistance.
He said on the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi, the entire family of Abdul Salam Bhat was invited to the Army camp at Kapran to participate in the celebrations and thereafter, a wheelchair was presented to the boy so as to provide the family some assistance and relief.
“All the locals present at the event were very grateful for this noble gesture by the Army which will go a long way in helping Abdul Salam Bhat and his family,” he said.
