Excelsior Correspondent KARGIL, Dec 10: Chief Executive Councilor (CEC) LAHDC Kargil, Kacho Ahmed Ali Khan, today reviewed the prevailing power scenario in the district. The meeting was attended by Executive Councilor Haji Ghulam Amir, Deputy Commissioner Kargil M Raju, SSP Kargil Javed Iqbal Mattoo and officers of the Power Development Department. In the meeting it was decided that to reduce the load on Chutuk Project, electronic meters would be installed in all those areas where power is supplied from this project. The Department was directed to start the process within three days on war footing in TSG Block, Minjee, Choskore and other areas. It was also decided that to cater the increasing demand of installation of new transformers from various villages a committee will be formed under the chairmanship of the Assistant Commissioner Revenue to assess the real status of the increasing demand and the priority sectors. It was also directed that in the future new transformers will be installed only after the prior permission of the committee.
