PUC for stern action against defaulters of Ganpat bridge

JAMMU, Dec 11: A meeting of Public Undertakings Committee (PUC) of Legislative Assembly was held under the chairmanship of MLA Abdul Majid Wani, here today.
Threadbare discussion was held on CAG’s audit report for the year 2010-11 pertaining to Jammu and Kashmir Project Construction Corporation (JKPCC) regarding Ganpat bridge at Doda. It was observed that there are delaying techniques adopted by the officers and engineers of JKPCC and the panel unanimously decided that the Committee will recommend that the disciplinary action both under civil as well as criminal proceedings should be taken against earring officials.
Legislators, Dr. Bashir Ahmad Shah (Veeri), Syeed Aga Razvi, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, Jugal Kishore, Advocate Abdul Haq, Mohammad Irfan Shah, Charanjit Singh, Ashok Kumar and Ch. Zulfikar Ali gave their valuable suggestions for taking speedy execution of Ganpat bridge project.
Among others, Principal Accountant General J&K AG office, Dr. S.C Pandey, Senior officers and Engineers of JKPCC besides officers of Assembly Secretariat attended the meeting.
