NEW DELHI, Apr 24: Castor seed prices rolled down further by Rs 23 to Rs 4,111 per quintal in futures trade today as traders trimmed holdings constantly in tune with weak physical markets.
Market players said reduction of holdings by participants, driven by weakening prices at physical markets due to sluggish demand for soap, paint and lubricant industries influenced the sentiment.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, castor seed delivery for May dropped by Rs 23 or 0.56 per cent to Rs 4,111 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 66,610 lots.
