JAMMU, Apr 25: A young man was today found hanging with a tree in Gangyal area of city outskirts.
According to police official, the dead body of a 22-year-old youth namely Ajay Kumar son of Somnath resident of Gangyal, was spotted hanging with a tree in the premises of Gangyal Tea Factory, near his residence, early this morning.
On getting information from factory employees, police reached the spot and shifted the dead body to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where after conducting postmortem, it was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites.
As no suicide note was recovered from the spot, the Gangyal police has initiated inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC in the case.
