3 day Film Fest kick starts in Baramulla

BARAMULLA, Apr 26: The second edition of Wular Lake International Short-Film Festival (WLISFF) organized by Krack Productions in collaboration with Boys Government Degree College Baramulla, kick started today at college auditorium, witnessing a huge participation of people from all walks of life.
During the festival, 60 movies from over 55 different countries will be screened including one World Premiere, one International Premiere along with Asian and Local Premiers.
According to the organizers of the festival, the films have been shortlisted by a selection committee comprising of renowned people from film industry, school of Cinema Studies and theatre after untiring efforts. The committee has shortlisted 60 world-class films from about 600 entries received from more than 55 countries.
On the first day of the film festival, 15 short films were screened at main auditorium GDC Baramulla & were submitted from Iran, Kashmir, France, Pakistan, India, Spain, Singapore, Malaysia, Canada including Downfall from Iran, The Mystic Verses from Kashmir, Blessed days from France, Father from India and Shikarawala from Kashmir.
Abdul Maajid, one of the organizers of the festivals said that such festival provide a good opportunity for Film/TV professionals, Media Students and Movie buffs to witness a wide spectrum of world cinema including International Competition, Iranian package and the best of Indian Panorama.
Filmmakers from Malaysia and India, Principal Boys GDC Baramulla Fazal u Rehman Beigh, Prof Haji Mohammed Muzaffar War, Director Actors Creative theater & KWFF Mushtaq Ali khan and International delegates Subhash Sundaramoorthy from Malaysia , Samvartha Sahil from FTII and Khushdeep Singh were also present on the first day of the festival.
