Timber smuggler arrested in Budgam

SRINAGAR, Apr 27: Police arrested a timber smuggler from central Kashmir’s Budgam District today.
A Police spokesman said that a Police party from Police Station Khag today while patrolling in the Hamchipora area apprehended a timber smuggler Abdul Hameed Khokher, a resident of Shuplain, Khag who was carrying timber illicitly brought from the forest area of Budgam on his horse Cart.
He said the illicit timber and the horse cart used for ferrying the timber have been seized and in this regard, a case FIR No. 21/2018 under section 379/RPC, 6 Forest Act has been registered in Police Station Khag and investigation taken up.
