Sat, Khajuria inaugurate transformer in Ward 28

JAMMU, Apr 27: To improve the power supply in every area of Jammu West, State president BJP & MLA, Jammu West,  Sat Sharma (CA) and party senior leader and MLC, Ashok Khajuria today inaugurated  transformer  at Roulki Mohalla, Bakshi Nagar area falling under Ward Number 28. Accompanied by PDD officials, both the leaders inaugurated the transformers in presence of a large number of people hailing from the area.
The work for installation of transformer was taken up under the  Constituency Development Fund (CDF)  Scheme of the MLC in order to carry on works for setting up Sub Station as well in which the MLA has contributed Rs 8.40 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma appreciated the efforts of Ashok Khajuria for providing funds from his CDF. He  said that it was a long pending demand of the area as residents suffered from acute shortage of electricity and low voltage and many times electrical appliances of consumers were damaged due to short circuit and there was  a lot of problem in the area. He said transformer bearing capacity of 250 KVA has been installed in the area in order to overcome such problems and to share the overload of 630 KVA transformer already installed in the area.
He said that the problems of fluctuation will not be anymore and no unscheduled cuts will take place in the area. He stated that the power crisis in Jammu West have  almost been solved and any place left will also be covered in coming days where there is a dire need of installation of new transformer.
Ashok Khajuria appreciated the efforts of Power Development Department (PDD) for looking into the problems of public on a serious note and solving it in no matter of time and also stated that on recommendation of local MLA, both PDD and IRCON have also installed numerous transformers in the constituency which will help a lot in Summer.
He also stated that providing masses with best possible infrastructure is the priority of the present Coalition Government in the State and where ever and when ever required he is willing to contribute anything from his personal funds so that masses do not suffer and all types of basic amenities are provided to them at their door steps.
