JAMMU, Apr 27: The camp inmates of Buta Nagar led by Ashok Ji Dhar and other social activists held a protest demonstration against the water scarcity in the camp.
The protesters raising slogans against the PHE Department said that water supply in the camp has been suspended for a week now and the inmates are facing worst kind of problems due to water crisis in this hot Summer. They said despite transfer of huge amount by Relief Organisation to PHE Department for water supply the later has failed to cater to the needs of camp inmates. The protesters also blocked the Muthi road and warned to intensify struggle if water supply was not restored by tomorrow.
They have also sought immediate attention of Minister of Irrigation, Flood Control and PHE Shaym Lal Choudhary in the matter.
