JAMMU, Apr 29: Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board today smoothly concluded a month of exams covering as many as 2 lakh candidates.
The exams were held under the complete supervision of Divisional Commissioners of Jammu and Kashmir and the respective district administrations. Chief Secretary and DGP had personally reviewed the preparations for the exams on April 9.
The exam for Science Teacher was scheduled for 40,000 candidates on April 21 which recorded 85 percent attendance. The exam for Urdu Teacher was scheduled on April 28 for 40,000 candidates which recorded 86 percent attendance and the exam for the State cadre posts of Naib Tehsildar was scheduled on April 29 for one lakh candidates which recorded about 70 percent attendance.
The results of the exams will be declared within 45 days in the same order. The SSB is now gearing up to conduct exams for another 1600 posts of General Line Teachers and Assistant Storekeepers of CAPD involving around 2.2 lakh candidates in May 2018.
A total of about 2400 posts are being filled with the exams of April and May.
