In interactive session with POF, Lal Singh lists reasons for CBI probe

JAMMU, Apr 29: In the wake of alleged attempts of portraying Jammu in bad light by the national media following Rassana murder incident, an interaction with former Minister Choudhary Lal Singh was organized here today by Public Opinion Forum (POF), a social and non-political organization.
A number of prominent citizens, social activists, retired civil and Army officers and educationists from Jammu participated in the interactive session, which primarily focused on the sequence of events after the Rassana murder incident, demand of CBI inquiry by the people for justice to eight-year old deceased girl and alleged attempts of national media to malign the image of Jammu.
Choudhary Lal Singh expressed his view point with regard to alleged biased approach of the national media, especially those electronic satellite channels while projecting negative image of otherwise peaceful and friendly Jammu. He reiterated his stand and resolve for CBI probe into the Rassana incident and explained the reasons for the same.
Soon after Lal Singh put forward his view point, interactive session was held, during which the POF members asked variety of questions pertaining to post Kathua incident scenario.
Earlier, president of the POF, Parveen Sharma introduced the guest with the gathering and also presented a brief note of the Forum activities. Welcome address was delivered by POF vice president, VD Dogra.
