KATHUA, May 1: Basohli Police today rescued three persons who were trapped in flash floods in Ravi basin at Sandhari near Hut Mashka.
According to reports Police Station Basohli received information that three persons along with two tractors were trapped in flood in river Ravi at Sandhari near Hut Mashka. Reacting swiftly on the information, police team from Police Station Basohli headed by ASI Yousuf was deputed to rescue the trapped persons and their tractors.
The team after strenuous efforts with the help of locals managed to rescue all the three trapped persons. Efforts are going on to pull out the tractors. These three persons were later identified as Bashir Ahmed, Farooq Ahmed S/os Gulam Mohd. R/o Bhoond and Rustum also a resident of Bhoond.
The timely action of Police was largely appreciated by inhabitants of the area.
