SRINAGAR, May 2: Continuing its efforts to weed out the menace of drug addiction from valley, Police arrested a notorious & chronic drug peddler and recovered 8 kilograms of poppy straw and 105 grams of cannabis from his possession.
A Police spokesman said that a formal case under FIR No. 80/2018 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Batamaloo & investigation has been taken up.
He identified the arrested person as Ghulam Mohahmmad Sheikh alias Gul Nuik, a resident of Baran-Pathar Batmaloo.
