“Mehbooba refused to accept the demand of CBI probe into Rassana incident on the instance of Syed Ali Shah Geelani but people of Jammu will take this mission to a logical conclusion for justice to the minor girl,” he said while addressing gathering during the rally, which passed through different bazaars of the Reasi town.
Ch Lal Singh also  mocked at National Conference working president  Omar Abdullah for the later’s tweets on Rassana incident and said that people of Jammu would teach a lesson to those who tried to malign the image of Dogras.
He alleged that people of Jammu region were deliberately being harassed and humiliated over the Rassana incident. “They are being pushed to wall by creating controversies and unrest so that the development process in the region be hampered,” he added.
With regard to his decision of resigning from the State Government, Lal Singh blamed the media for “creating a perception”, thus forcing him to take such a step. “We resigned because the perception created by the national and Kashmir based media was not good. It portrayed the situation in a wrong way, which was not the case at all. It was portrayed that the entire Jammu region was siding with rapists,” he claimed and appealed people to reach Hiranagar on May 20 for pressing the Government to order CBI probe into Rassana incident.
The rally took off from Chowk Chabutra Reasi and passed through main bazar before its culmination at Bus Stand Reasi.
Earlier a bike rally was also taken out in support of Lal Singh. The people enroute raised slogans in support of Singh and assured him all cooperation in this movement so that the real culprits in Rassana case are arrested and no innocent is harmed.
