JAMMU, May 5: Department of Applied Sciences, Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET), organized an extension lecture on manufacturing of Nano wires for B.E. second semester students today.
Dr. Sandeep Arya from Department of Physics and Electronics, University of Jammu, was the eminent resource person for the lecture. The lecture commenced with a welcome speech by Maridul Sharma, Coordinator, Department of Applied Sciences, YCET.
The guest speaker deliberated at length on the various nanowire fabrication techniques proposed in the last decade. He added that nanowires gained an increasing interest in the last years, namely because the fabrication techniques have become more mature and versatile. Parallel research works have been carried out on different levels ranging from device to circuit and system levels in order to identify and address the challenges facing the utilization of this emerging paradigm in the future.
“Interestingly, the circuit and system level problems and their proposed solutions depend on some properties of the fabrication techniques. Thus, understanding the fabrication techniques and the device properties enable a better assessment of the global problem. The Impact of Nanotechnology on device electronics Advancements in sophisticated instruments for characterization and manipulation of Nano Material has paved the way to advance technology,” he added.
The students were very keen to learn that how this nanotechnology has impacted the advancement in our home appliances also. The Students had a very healthy interaction with the speaker. The lecture concluded with vote of thanks professed by Wani Gupta. The lecture was coordinated by Rohit Gupta and other faculty members of the department.
