NEW DELHI, May 8: Cottonseed oil cake prices recovered by Rs 16.50 to Rs 1,295 per quintal in futures trade today after short-covering by speculators at prevailing levels.
Market players said besides creating fresh positions by operators at existing levels, pick-up in demand for animal feed makers amid tight stocks too influenced cottonseed oil cake futures prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake delivery for June regained rose by Rs 16.50 or 1.29 per cent to Rs 1,294 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,69,000 lots.
Also, the delivery for May revived by Rs 10.50 or 0.82 per cent to Rs 1,293 per quintal, having an open interest of 57,120 lots. (PTI)
