REASI, May 10: All J&K PHE ITI Trained & CP Workers Association Reasi has announced to go on 72 hours Kaam Choro strike from May 14.
Decision in this regard was taken after a token  protest was held by PHE daily wagers in front of the PHE  office here today  in support of their demands.
Shouting slogans, the protestors said that the demands of poor daily wager ITI-trained /CP workers, need-based/casual labourers in the PHE Department had not been fulfilled. These workers are seeking regularisation of their services and fulfillment of their other demands.
“For the last many years, the Association has been struggling for justice. Despite so many assurances, nothing was done by the State Government. A number of committees and sub-committees were formed by the Government to resolve our long-pending issues, but every time our files were seen gathering dust in the Secretariat,” they alleged.
The protesters also said that the daily wagers did not get their salaries from the last 42 months.
