JAMMU, May 12: A dead body of a male was recovered from the bank of Kathua canal in Ward 14 falling under the jurisdiction of Hatli Morh Police Station this morning by police.
He has been identified as Ajit Raj, 26, S/o Roop Lal of Ward No 2, Kathua. Raj according to police was missing since yesterday evening and his body was recovered on canal bank this morning. The police also recovered a strip of intoxicating tablets from his pocket in which three tablets were missing.
Hatli police has registered a case under Section 174 and started investigation. The police is collecting his phone details also. The body after postmortem at District Hospital Kathua was handed over to family members for performance of its last rites.
