JAMMU, May 12: Arnia police seized several vehicles for illegal extraction of minor minerals from rivers and nallahs, a police spokesman said.
The seized vehicles include one JCB belonging to Ashwani Kumar, son of Madan Lal of Ward Number 10 Arnia, at present Aik Nullah Arnia, spokesman said, adding that other vehicles include 4 tractor trollies.
The operators/driver of JCB and tractor trollies fled away from the spot by taking advantage of the darkness and hunt has been launched to nab them, he added.
Arnia police has taken cognizance in this regards.
Police team led by SHO Arnia Inspector Deepak Pathania and assisted by ASI Joginder Singh made the seizure under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prashar, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
