Ex-Servicemen rally conducted in Tangdhar

SRINAGAR, May 14: To interact with Ex-Servicemen (ESM) and their family members, redress their problems and monitor the ongoing welfare programs, a rally was conducted at Chhamkot village in Tangdhar.
An Army spokesman said that the rally was attended by more than 250 veterans and Veer Naris wherein Help Desks were established at the rally by Chief Record Officer of JAK LI Centre, Officer from Zila Sainik Board, Baramulla and representative of Defense Pension Disbursement Cell for on the spot resolution of grievance of veterans.
He said the Civil Administration established stalls about Agriculture, Mushroom Cultivation, Bee keeping, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Integrated Child Development Programs and various schemes from J&K Bank.
“The Block Development Officer & Zonal Education Officer also explained various schemes available for ESM and their dependents. A Medical and dental camp was also set up and free medicines were provided.
