SAMBA, Dec 15: To facilitate the border residents and children of Government Girls High School, a free Medical and Health Checkup Camp was organized by 59 Battalion of Border Security Force (BSF) at Bainglar.
The camp was inaugurated by Mukesh Tyagi, Commandant of 59 Battalion in presence of Head Master Bansi Lal, Sarpanch Kartat Singh, local populace and students.
During the camp, team of Medical officers and Doctors from BSF and Health Department Dr Kumud Devgyan, Dr Rekha Verma, Dr Saleem Ahmed and Dr Dinesh Sharma examined the students and people and also distributed free medicines amongst the needy.
On the occasion, girls of Government High School Bainglar along with BSF troops presented cultural programme.
Later, Mukesh Tyagi Commandant 59 Battalion BSF presented certificates of appreciation to the participants.
While speaking, Commandant said that the people residing in border areas should be more aware about their health. He said that it is commonly seen that the medical facilities are not much sufficient in border areas, hence to overcome this problem BSF is occasionally organizing such free medical camps ion Border area from time to time.
