JAMMU, Dec 15: Akhil Bhartiya Gujjar Mahasabha (ABGM) today framed Block Level Committee in tehsil Nowshera, district Rajouri.
Mohd Shafi was nominated as block president, while Mohd Sadiq, Mohd Bashir, Mohd Shafi and Mohd Gulsaid were nominated as members of Gujjar Mahasabha, district Rajouri.
The committee was framed by Eshfaq ul Rehman Poswal, president of Gujjar Mahasabha, during his tour of Lam Ladoka and Pukharni villages near LoC in tehsil Nowshera.
While speaking, Poswal demanded telephone facility for the people living near the LoC. “Due to non availability of telephones they are unable to call for an ambulance, neither can inform the local police during the time of firing from the other side of LoC”, he said.
He also demanded special recruitment drive for the tribals settled near LoC as also facilities like water, electricity, kerosene and ration to be provided immediately and utilization of Border Area Development Plan (BADP) in these areas.
Among those present were Mohd Sain, Makhna, Mohd Farooq, District Coordinator and other members of Gujjar Mahasaba.
