JAMMU, May 16: A delegation of Federation of Industries Jammu under the chairmanship of Lalit Mahajan, Chairman FoIJ met with Suresh Prabhu, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry at New Delhi in presence of Ajit Lal Bawa Co-Chairman. Pardeep Vaid, secretary general, Ajay Langer convener, FoIJ, Gagan Jain & Vivek Singhal Executive Committee members of the Federation of Industries, Jammu.
During the course of discussions, Mahajan raised the issue in respect of non release of funds for the pending claims of DIPP Central Package of Incentives, J&K and pending cases with Empowerment Committee for approval,
He demanded one time relaxation of condition for the submission of claims under DIPP package of incentives, appointment of Managing Director in Jammu & Kashmir Development Finance Corporation by the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Extension of Income Tax Reimbursement, Central Government GST and Freight Subsidy Incentives to J & K Industrial Sector at par with the North Eastern States which will open the doors for new investment & employment opportunities to the local youths in the State, compulsory purchase by Central Government Organization from J&K Industry, setting up of mother industry to boost the local industrialization in the State, reducing of export obligation for units in the State of Jammu & Kashmir in Foreign Trade Policy 2009-14 & EPGC Scheme.
The Union Minister after hearing the issues raised by Lalit Mahajan, Chairman, FoIJ assured the delegation that the matter will be resolved on priority basis.
