JAMMU, May 22: J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum has strongly demanded the delinking of SSA salary from the source of funding by absorbing the SSA posts under State plan to find a permanent solution of the chronic issue, which has put the families of more than 40000 SSA teachers in miserable conditions.
As per a press release, jointly issued by State president Vinod Sharma and State chairman Gazi Abdul Aziz, duo said the ReT Forum was hopeful that the committee headed by MoS Education Shakti Raj Parihar on May 12, will come up with a permanent solution and SSA teachers will get their salaries on regular basis as promised by the Education Minister.
Maintaining that ReT Forum was avoiding any sort of confrontation till May 27, when the committee will submit its report, Vinod Sharma added that they will not accept SSA salary for the month of April 2018 if the same is released without 7th Pay Commission.
The Forum also demanded the immediate release of SSA salary for the month of February 2018 as the same has been kept pending by the department without any reason.
