RAJOURI, May 22: The police arrested five persons for allegedly manhandling of doctors and other Medical staff at District Hospital, Rajouri late this evening.
A police official said that there was group clash over a land dispute at Nagrota village near Palma in Rajouri this evening. Five persons were injured in the clash and they were hospitalized at Rajouri. After some time, relatives of the injured also arrived the hospital. They alleged negligence in treatment and started abusing doctors and other medical staff on duty. The Medical staff when resisted, some of the attendants resorted to manhandling them and causing damage to the furniture and other hospital property.
The staff informed police and the police party led by DySP Jaswant Singh and SHO Rajouri rushed to the hospital. They arrested five persons for creating violence and manhandling of medical staff. They were identified as – Mohd Sagir, Parvez Iqbal, Mohd Zubair, Mohd Asif and Mohd Farooq hailing from Nagrota. The police registered a case FIR No. 263/ 2018 against the accused persons.
