RAJOURI, May 22: The office bearers of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology – Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ) and Non-Teaching Employees Association-Jammu (NTEA-J) visited Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS) and Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Rajouri of SKUAST-J and interacted with the scientists and non teaching staff.
The joint team, under the leadership of Dr Vikas Sharma and PDK Uppal, discussed several agendas pertaining to the overall welfare, better functioning and progress of the stations / KVKs.
.The employees of KVK & Research Station informed the president-TAJ about the shortage of scientific and non teaching staff (due to attachment) and demanded filling up the vacant positions immediately.
The house expressed unanimity for the inclusion of scientific staff from stations / KVKs in student advisory and committees at varsity level. Free accommodation of drivers in the University guest house, transfer of overstay staff were the other major issues discussed in this outstation meet
During the visit, Dr Vikas of Research Station was unanimously elected as executive member of SKUAST-TAJ from Rajouri unit.
