JAMMU, May 23: District Level Inter School competitions in the sports disciplines of Fencing (Girls), Football, Swimming, Rugby, Hockey and Thang-sa-do under the age group of 14 and 17 years (Boys) concluded at various venues here today.
The competitions were organised by the Department of Youth Services & Sports under the patronage of Shiekh Fayaz Ahmad, Director General, Youth Services & Sports and under the overall supervision of Madan Lal, Joint Director.
Chanchal Kour, DYSSO Jammu is the Organising Secretary of the tournament, who along with ZPEOs Jeet Singh and Tarseem Kalsi visited the venues and interacted with players and officials.
In Hockey Under-14 boys final, SOS Jammu beat APS Miran Sahib by 3-1 goals via tie breaker, while in Under-17 Hockey final, New National HSS Simbal Camp defeated APS Miran Sahib by 4-3 goals.
The finals of all other events were held and the winners were felicitated on the occasion.
