Hawk’s eye on border

Pressing into service its upgraded strategy of countering militancy and forestalling infiltration by militants have resulted in the liquidation of top militant leadership leaving these outfits frustrated and dispirited. Obviously, sensing that infiltration is on the verge of exhaustion, the sponsors of militancy in Kashmir from across the border are trying hard to revive their perfidy but to no avail. The GOC of White Knight Corps has given the correct analysis of ground situation. It is true that owing to the topographical conditions, Krishna Ghati has been traditionally used by the militants for infiltration. But now that our army has sealed the passages on infiltrators, the Pakistani Army is resorting to heavy firing on our posts. There is activity on Poonch-Rajouri border just because the sneaking in points in North Kashmir remain closed owing to heavy snowfall. So we have recurring firing on our post along this sector. This should be considered the dying breaths of militancy in Kashmir, thanks to the strategy devised by security forces to meet the challenge.
