JAMMU, Dec 17: President, Socialistic Democratic Party (SDP), Dr Darakhshan Andrabi, today expressed serious concern over the miseries of common people due to repeated agitations by State Government employees.
Addressing a press conference here, she said that only Chief Minister holds the key to solve the grave issues of the agitating State Government employees, which often put the common people into troubles.
SDP president was flanked by other party leaders including Peer Abdul Majid Shah, Ajay Kumar, Gursagar Singh, Sanjay Manhas, Kamaljit Singh and Deepu Ronetra.
In her address, she said that the State Government employees have been fighting for their demands for the last more than three years and many spells of agitations and negotiations with the Government have not yielded any results at all. “This stalemate has added to the worries of the common man as they face difficulty in all offices. The continuous intermittent spells of agitating employees have derailed the smooth functioning in all the State Government offices”, Dr Andrabi added.
Dr Darakhshan said that she supports the demands of agitating employees but is more concerned about the problems of common people as a result of these agitations.
She asserted that ministerial negotiations cannot work at all and now the Chief Minister should come out to exhibit his management skills to cope up with the complicated issues and redeem the people of agitations once for all.
“Now when again the Coalition Government has succeeded in getting the majority votes in recently held elections, it is its duty to feel its responsibilities than taking the success to its head”, said SDP president.
She appealed the Chief Minister to feel the trouble the common population is facing due to continuous agitations and resolve it.
