JAMMU, May 30: Semifinals position has been cleared in girls section of the ongoing Dr. Hedgewar T-20 Junior Kabaddi School Rolling Trophy-2018, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Kabaddi Association at Kabaddi Field, MA Stadium, here.
Earlier, in the girls quarterfinals played today, KV No-1 Gandhi Nagar beat Raj Kamal School by 14 points, Bhartiya Vidya Mandir defeated Jagrati Mission by 8 points, St. Francis School Akhnoor drubbed Model Public School Sobka by 5 points and SOS Harman got the better of Bhartiya Shiksha Kendra by 10 points.
The 3rd Day of the Championship was inaugurated by Yudhvir Sethi, Vice President BJP J&K, Subash Jandial, Vice Chairman SIDCO and senior journalist Sohail Kazmi in the presence of Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of the Association, Surinder Mohan, General Secretary of the Association, Sangram Singh Treasurer and Karunesh Gupta, Organizing Secretary.
Mr Sethi appreciated the proposed initiative of J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association to conduct National Level Tournament in the year 2025 to mark the 100 years of Dr. Hedgewar.
Subash Jandial and Sohil Kazimi also spoke on the occasion and lauded the efforts of the organisers for organising the mega event.
Earlier, Kuldeep Gupta, CEO of the Association presented welcome address.
In the pre-quarterfinal matches of boys section, Ranbir Hr Secondary School trounced Raj Kamal by 13 points, Play Way School Ponichak beat Universal Hr Secondary School by 12 points, Govt Hr Secondary School Khour drubbed Renu National Hr. Secondary School by 8 points, Govt. High School Pull Tawi prevailed over SOS Harman by 9 points, Govt. High School Phallain Mandal got the batter of Raina Hr Secondary School Paloura by 14 points, Bhartiya Vidya Mandir beat KV No-1 Gandhi Nagar by 12 points, New National Hr Secondary School outclassed Gandhi Memorial by 7 points and St Francis Akhnoor outplayed Govt. High School Nowabad by 14 points.
