Fire breaks out in bank’s genset room

JAMMU, May 30: A fire broke out in the genset room of J&K Bank branch at Rehari, here today.
As per police sources, a fire broke out in the genset room of J&K Bank probably due to short circuit at Rehari, this afternoon.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and informed the Department of Fire and Emergency Services.
Acting swiftly, over the information, two fire tender from City, two from Gandhi Nagar and 1 from Roop Nagar Fire Services Station were immediately pressed in to douse the ablaze.
After hour long operation, the fire was controlled and restricted from spreading to the adjoining bank branch.
The whole operation was carried out under the supervision of DFO City Tej Krishan Raina.
No injury or casualty has been reported in the incident, while the exact loss could not be ascertained yet.
Bakshi Nagar police has taken cognizance in this regard.
