2nd Simula Budding Cricketers T20 Tournament

JAMMU, May 1: Stadium XI today tamed Untamed Lions Cricket Club (ULCC) easily by 62 runs to seal berth in the finals of the ongoing 2nd Simula Budding Cricketers T20 Tournament, being organized by Young Star Cricket Club at MA Stadium, here.
Now, in the title clash, Stadium XI shall lock horns with the Young Guns Cricket Club, which has already made it to the finals.
Earlier, batting first, Stadium XI sailed on good performances from Sahib Mehta and Akash to post a decent total of 149 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Sahib scored well made 40 runs off 47 balls including 4 crispy boundaries, while Akash contributed 31 off 26 balls with the help of 3 boundaries and one six. Sant Baksh also contributed unbeaten 15 runs to the total. Shubam and Deepak captured 2 wickets each for ULCC.
ULCC, in reply bundled out for a paltry total of 87 runs in 17 overs, thus lost the match by a big margin of 62 runs. Arjun top scored with 16 runs, while Shubam and Honey contributed 13 runs each to a meagre total. For Stadium XI, Akash, Prince and Hiteshwar claimed 2 wickets each. Akash was adjudged man of the match for Stadium XI for his superb all-round show.
The match was officiated by Rajinder Singh and Vijay as umpires, while Sohail maintained the scorebook. The tournament is being conducted under the overall supervision of Ankush Abrol, Rajesh Dhar, Vikram Singh and Shashi Pal, organizing secretary.
