Cultural prog organized by J&KAACL gets underway at Leh

LEH, May 31: Keeping in view the huge influx of tourists to Pangong Lake, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Leh has decided to organize cultural programme twice a month on 15th and 30th of every month at Pangong Lake, showcasing rich cultural heritage of Ladakh through songs and dances.
The series of programme began here which was witnessed by the tourists all over the world and local villagers of the adjoining villages and all enjoyed this rare opportunity.
Yak and horse riding facilities were also provided to the tourists with the help of local villagers.
Councillor Chhushul, Mr Konchok played a pivotal role in organizing this special programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Konchok appreciated the idea of holding such a programme at this world famous tourist destination and congratulated all concerned for making this programme a success.
Earlier, the Officer In-Charge from Cultural Academy, Mr Lundup presented welcome address.
The daylong programme concluded with Tashispa song and dance with horse riders, displaying traditional horse riding skills alongside the picturesque Pangong lake.
