Warm send off given to PF Addl Commissioner Kamal Mahendru

JAMMU, May 31: A grand farewell function was organized by the Divisional office employees, labour employees’ unions and Employers’ Associa-tion to bid adieu to Kamal Mahendru, Additional Provident Fund Commissioner, who retired today on attaining superannuation after rendering 31 years of active service to the Provident Fund (PF) wing of Labour and Employment Department, J&K.
The function was attended by various union heads and officers/officials of the Provident Fund Organization besides friends and colleagues including family members. They said that during his tenure in the Provident Fund Organization the officer because of his honesty and sincere efforts brought the deposits of the organization from 2 lakh to present days 14 crore (approximately) per year as Administrative Charges in the shape of revenue for Jammu Division only. Lauded the pro-employee working style of the retiring officer, the speakers wished him a happy and prosperous retirement life.
The retiring officer in his maiden speech further reiterated his intention before the audience by dedicating his post retirement life to continue his fight against the evils whosoever work against the interest of the labour employees and declared to set up a platform to provide free of cost legal help to the departmental victims/ labourer/employees to redress their genuine problems related to Labour, ESI and Provident Fund Organization both at official as well as judicial level.
