SRINAGAR, June 1: Governor N. N. Vohra, who is also the Chairman of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, released first issue of ‘Trikuta’, a quarterly Newsletter, brought out by the Shrine Board, at the Raj Bhavan here, today.
Governor observed that the Shrine Board has been striving for continually improving facilities for the pilgrims who visit the holy Cave Shrine and side by side promoting the welfare of the residents of Katra and the villages located in the vicinity of the Shrine besides, the society at large. He observed that the Newsletter can serve as a useful medium for regularly disseminating information about the major activities of the Shrine Board.
Governor commended Umang Narula, Chief Executive Officer, and the editorial team, led by Anshul Garg, Additional CEO, for bringing out ‘Trikuta’, and wished success to this endeavour.
Umang Narula, Principal Secretary to the Governor and Chief Executive Officer of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, received a copy of Trikuta from Governor Vohra.
The eight-page Newsletter contains information about the major activities of the Shrine Board, the ongoing infrastructural development projects and the initiatives being taken for facilitation of the pilgrims. It also carries information about endeavours of the Board for the promotion of health, education and sports sectors, besides building capacities of its human resource, disaster management preparedness, conservation of environment, adoption of green technologies, landmark decisions taken by the Board to further improve the facilities for the pilgrims as well as for the benefit of the people of the area.
