Ceasefire violation: Pak again proved, it can’t be trusted: IG BSF

JAMMU: Inspector General of BSF Jammu Frontier Ram Awtar on Sunday said that Pakistan has yet again proved that he cannot be trusted upon as he fired unprovoked and targeted the forward villages along international border in Jammu.
”As you all know Pakistan never keep its words. It is not reliable and trustworthy and after DGMOs talks agreeing for ceasefire, Pakistan on Sunday morning fired unprovoked in our Pargwal and Kanhachak areas,”
Mr Awtar here told reporters, at the sidelines of wreath laying ceremony of two BSF personnel, martyred in cross border firing.
”It was not a sniping, but ceasefire violation, in which two of our jawans sustained injuries and later attained martyrdom. ”We have given a strong and befitting reply, but so far the damage across the border could not be ascertained.
”We did not target the civilian areas across the border, but only retaliated to cross border firing,” Mr Awtar said, adding that there are no fresh inputs of attempt of infiltration, amid ceasefire violation. (AGENCIES)
