POONCH, June 6: Anganwadi workers and helpers of ICDS projects of district Poonch today held protest demonstration at the venue of District Development Board meeting at Dak Bungalow here today.

As the ICDS projects workers who are on agitational path for the last several weeks, came to know about the conduct of Board meeting they moved there to meet the Minister for Tourism Tassaduq Mufti, Chairman of the Board and other senior officers there to project their issue. But they were not allowed by the security men to move inside.
Then they started protest demonstration at the main gate of the Dak Bungalow and also sat on dharna on Poonch-Mandi Road. The movement of traffic was disrupted for some time. After long protest and Gherao of the officers, the security men allowed two women protesters to move inside and meet the Minister. Then ICDS workers lifted dharna and allowed movement of the vehicles of senior officers and legislators.
