Neglected tourist spots of Jammu

Sir,
After a gap of 58 years, I had a chance of visiting Sanasar again a few days back. As the previous impressions had almost faded away from my mind, I was wonderstruck to see the virgin beauty of the whole area from Patnitap to Sanasar. The thick coniferous forest on both the sides of the road is a treat to the eyes. Small open stretches of land or small meadows with lush green grass bordered with differently colored and shaped naturally growing flowers captivate the heart of a (sensitive) visitor. The sparsely scattered cattle and sheep grazing all over the area add further charm to the vision.
Beauty of the whole area is unique and not a little bit less than that of Gulmarg or Pahalgam but what irks the visitors to see is the dilapidated condition of the road. Out of the 20 km length of the road from Patnitop to Sanasar , a stretch of nearly 15kms from Natha top to Sanasar , is in the worst condition . It is full of ditches and depressions which give constant jolts to the vehicles plying on them making the passengers, especially the first-timers, feel nervous. Also, the road is narrow and vehicles have to move backwards many times in order to find a place to cross the vehicles coming from opposite side.
One feels saddened to see the contrast between the natural beauty and the man made (glaringly inadequate) development and also to see the contrast between the development of the scenic places of Kashmir and those of Jammu division. This discrimination and apathy must end now.
During the visit, I came to know that recently two MPs of Jammu region – Dr. Jitinder Singh and Sh. Jugal Kishore Sharma had visited the place. They must have noticed the grossly inadequate development of the area. The former has a powerful say, being an important member in the Union Cabinet .Let both of them strive hard to get the needful development effected. It must be got done this year for who knows what will happen in 2019 (May God bless our beloved Prime Minister Modi with unprecedented success!). We appeal to and urge the two  gentlemen to strike while the iron is hot. The people of Jammu region have great expectations from them.
Yours etc…
