JAMMU, Dec 18: To protest FDI in retail and increasing corruption during the regime of Congress-led UPA, Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and Youth Against Corruption (YAC) activists today held joint demonstrations across Jammu region.
Shouting slogans against the UPA Government, the protesters threatened to intensify stir against FDI in retail in the country. The protest demonstrations were held at Jammu, R S Pura, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Chadwal, Hiranagar, Vijaypur and other areas of the division.
The protesters were addressed by ABVP and YAC leaders who accused the UPA Government of promoting corruption in country and comprising with the national interests. They alleged that FDI in retail would ruin the nation, particularly poor farmers and retailers.
Those who addressed the demonstrations include Raghav Sharma, Sanjay Verma and Balbir Singh.
