JAMMU, June 13: Former minister and senior BJP leader, Ch Lal Singh today said that time has come to make cost of military engagement of any kind with India unaffordable for Pakistan and for that a limited war with Pakistan, which several military strategists have recommended, should be seriously considered and that too at the earliest.
Paying homage to the four jawans who were martyred in Ramgarh Sector of Samba district, Ch Lal Singh said, “I would fail in my national duty if I do not speak-up against this naked aggression of Pakistan. We are losing jawans on almost every day to the bullets of the enemies and we are talking about ceasefire. And there are demands for engaging Pakistan for a sustained dialogue.”
“Blinded by political ambitions, regional political parties of Jammu and Kashmir instead of seeking tough action against Pakistan are pleading for a dialogue with it. They have become vociferous advocates of Pakistan, Pakistan-based terror outfits, ISI and Pakistan Army. They have doubled their efforts to prevent the Indian Government from taking an aggressive stance against Pakistan. But, I firmly believe, time has come to teach Pakistan a lesson which would not let it fire even a single bullet from across the IB or Line of Control (LoC),” Lal Singh said.
Addressing gatherings in Paloura, Gurrah Brahmana, Kangar, Palwal, Saidal, Mandal and Purmandal in Jammu and Samba districts in connection with preparations for the Maha Swabhiman Rally, Lal Singh said “I do not understand why leaders of regional parties have special place for Pakistan in their hearts and minds. They are not worried about local issues or issues concerning their constituencies. Their focus is how Central Government has to be stopped from going all out against Pakistan.”
“Thousands of border people are worried about their fate. They are demanding permanent solution of the repeated violations of the ceasefire on border. And what the State Government is offering them is not a permanent solution but continuity of the status-quo. Killings will go on and we would be doing nothing but offering condolences and paying homage. People are losing patience and time will come soon, when they will be on the roads demanding permanent stoppage of the bullets and mortars from Pakistan,” said Lal Singh while adding that New Delhi should stop listening to Kashmir based politicians.
Regarding the preparations for Maha Swabhiman Rally, Choudhary Lal Singh said “No body should think there is any fatigue factor among the Dogras seeking CBI probe in Rassana case. At 45 degree Celsius, we are on the roads demanding that State should recommend CBI probe in the Rassana case. We are confident that the 8 year old girl would get justice only after CBI probe is ordered.
“Don’t forget, you are MLAs only because of people of Jammu region. Your silence is being seen as collusion with those who are anti-Jammu and who are against CBI probe in Rasana case,” Ch Lal Singh warned.
