Pathania for clean drinking water in every school

UDHAMPUR, June 14: MLA Ramnagar, Ranbir Singh Pathania convened a series of largely attended public darbars (grievances redressal camps)at far off places of Berrian, Manial,Chigla Balota, Kansala, Chigli Keya, Keya, Ujh Pull  to hear the problems of people in these areas.
Public grievances were listened patiently and spot directions were issued for common grievances related to drinking water, electricity, ration and roads. To push the rural electrification 50 poles were provided for augmenting the electricity supply in the area.
Pathania also dedicated a refrigerated water cooler at HS Joffer for the students and reiterated his commitment of providing clean drinking water for every school, Health Centre and Anganwari centres. He said that every school has been directed to install water purifier/ filter so that children should have access to clean drinking water and water borne diseases can be avoided.
Pathania further kick started the development works to the tune of crores of rupees which included provision of bridges and roads in far off mountainous places. On the occasion the MLA announced boundary wall for HS Joffer out of his CDF.
He called for immediate completion of work on Parla Chakal to Balota road (length 18.675 kms) Stage Ist and IInd including two bridges at sanctioned cost of whooping Rs 2138.52 lakh.
Kansal to Kulthian road (2.550 km) at an sanctioned cost of Rs 161.76 lac; start of work on Balota to Barian road (9.0 km) Stage-Ist at an sanctioned cost of 499.67 lakh.
Pathania also inaugurated a 55 metre pre stressed bridged over river Ujh at Chigla Balota(Chigli Keya) completed at cost of Rs 222.0 lakh. The bridge was decades old pending demand of the public and work on it got push after Pathania took over as the MLA. On the occasion Pathania announced that road from bridge up to the village will be constructed under NABARD funding.
Local Sarpanch, Hans Raj,  also spoke on the occasion and said braving the scorching heat the MLA undertook an on foot journey of as many as 30-40 kms so that seeds of development are sown in rural areas.
Pathania was accompanied by X-EN PMGSY, Chief Education Officer, Udhampur, Tehsildar, Ramnagar, officers/officials of various line departments, party functionaries, and local public in large numbers.
