UDHAMPUR, Dec 19: People of tehsil Chenani today held protest demonstration against Power Development Department (PDD) for unwarranted power cuts.
The local populace including members of Beopar Mandal, Chenani assembled in the premises of AEE office and raised slogans against the PDD authorities.
The protestors were demanding replacement of installed 3.16 MV electric transformer with sanctioned 5 MV electric transformer.
They served 10 days ultimatum to the department to concede their demands, otherwise they will hold massive protest and will block National Highway.
Later, AEE assured to redress their demands at the earliest.
