Army flags off educational tour

UDHAMPUR, Dec 19: Army organised an educational tour, in which 30 elderly persons from rural areas of the district took part.
The tour has been organised by Headquarters 71 Sub Area and was flagged off by Lieutenant General HJS Sachdev, Chief of Staff, Northern Commands from Udhampur Garrison.
The tour will cover the historical, cultural and religious places of interest among other sight seeing locations in the States of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
The participants of the tour will visit famous Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal and City Palace at Jaipur.
They will also visit Mayo College, Holy shrine at Ajmer and Lord Brahma Temple at Pushkar, Taj Mahal at Agra, Dargah and Buland Darwaja at Fatehpur Sikri, Krishna Janmbhumi at Mathura and Famous Akshardham Temple at New Delhi.
The entire tour is being funded by Indian Army and will look after all travel, boarding and lodging arrangements. All members of the group were provided with track suits, t-shirts, caps and shoes.
