JWAM holds protest against JMC

JAMMU, June 18: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today held a protest against Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) here at New Plot for turning the Jammu West constituency into heaps of garbage.
Scores of activists of JWAM led by their president Sunil Dimple, today assembled at New Plot on Janipur road and raised slogans against JMC. Addressing the protesters, Sunil Dimple said that West constituency has been turned into a constituency of garbage and dirt by the JMC.
He said that all the main roads of the constituency are over flowing with the garbage water, drains are in the dilapidated condition while a single development work has not been taken place in the constituency for the last three years by the JMC, PWD, JDA and ERA.
Dimple said no development taking place in the West Assembly constituency and this is the most backward, undeveloped and dirtiest constituency of the State.
He said there is very poor drainage system in the constituency, all the drains of the constituency are in dilapidated conditions, sewerage main holes lying damaged and dirty water coming from them flowing on all main roads and entering in the shops and houses of the people.
Dimple demanded JMC to immediately install the LED lights on the main roads of the Jammu city and the in the West Assembly constituency, as street light in the lanes are not working and the night terror of dogs is at the peak.
He said the JMC is earning huge revenue from the Jammu people but in return they are not getting the developmental benefits and facing huge discrimination. He said the traders are disappointed with the JMC as there is no proper cleanliness on the roads.
